Ahsan Iqbal says CPEC future of South Asian countries |

Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said ice is likely to melt between India and Pakistan as a result of a brief meeting of the two prime ministers in Paris.
He was addressing the eighth South Asia Economic conference in Islamabad on Monday.
The Minister said that yesterday’s meeting between security advisors of the two countries in Bangkok was also a step toward to that direction.
He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is not only the future of Pakistan but also South Asian countries.
Earlier in his speech, Chairman Board of Investment, Miftah Ismail said government is giving top priority to mega projects like Turkmenistan -Afghanistan Pakistan India (TAPI) and Central Asia and South Asia (CASA).
Addressing the conference, experts urged South Asian leadership to show a strong political will to fully operationalize South Asia Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA) for promotion of regional trade.
