Archaeological Sites and Monuments in Pakistan Archaeology Today -- As Never Needed Before
Mian Attique Ahmad*
The preservation of archaeological heritage and putting them in museums is not very old- during the Renaissance initiatives were taken for the preservation of the past to look into technological development. The present day structure of this subject has been built on the foundations laid at that time.

In Islam, particularly in the Holy Quran, this subject has not just been discussed rather it has been emphasised and ordered from a social and technological development perspective. In Pakistan, we need to truly understand the importance of this subject because it is from the past that we can grow and develop through continuous learning- how we live our life is important for every one as that becomes our heritage and the heritage of mankind.

This paper will explore the importance of archeology; present day problems; and re-defining role of concerned institutions in Pakistan through a need development strategy.
