Issiaka Sombie*
This paper will explore how, on the one hand, the changing climate is impacting the cotton value chain; and on the other, what resilience strategies (if any) exist in Burkina Faso, a semi-arid country. For this, all the activities and the various private sector stakeholders will be enumerated for mapping the cotton value chain of Burkina Faso. Then, each one of these activities, the climatic risks which can affect it as well as the possible consequences (positives and negatives) will be listed. In the final part, an analysis of the different adaptation options or resilience strategies of the private sector stakeholders and those at the national level, will be conducted.
