Since November 2017, Mr Gregor Enste has worked as freelancing analyst and advisor on European affairs. From 2011 to October 2017, he was Department Head Foreign and Security Policy at the German Heinrich Böll Foundation, Berlin. Between 2005 and 2010, he was Director of the foundation’s Lahore based office and responsible for the programme work in Pakistan and Afghanistan. From 2001 to 2005, he was Department Head of the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Asia desk in Berlin where he was responsible  for setting up offices in China and India. He studied law, worked as freelancer for a law firm and joined the foundation in 1993.
