Dr Rafi us Shan is serving as Chief Cyber Security at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cyber Emergency Response Center (KPCERC) which is an initiative of KPITB to complement the digital ecosystem of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by providing technological support & training in cyber security. His role is designing and driving the Cyber Security framework and cyber security related initiatives, complementing digital ecosystem and promoting e-governance solution in the province. He has served as Assistant Professor in COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) and has been promoting innovation, product development and technology-based startups. He initiated the first MS program in cyber security at CUI & has been promoting cyber security at various national and international forums. He completed his MS in Mobile & Radio communication and PhD in public safety communication systems from Lancaster University, UK. He has worked with the Cyber Security Center at Lancaster University and HW Communications and contributed in various ETSI, FP-7 and TSB-UK funded projects.
