Ms Nicole Vellios is a researcher at the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa. Her current research interests include the impact of tobacco taxation on public health, the illicit trade of tobacco products, and the determinants of smoking initiation. Ms Vellios has done MSSc in Economics (specialising in Economic Development) from UCT.
