Dr Marina
Romanello is the Data
Scientist and Research Fellow for The Lancet Countdown tracking progress on
health and climate change, where she leads the research of the collaboration,
and is in charge of the scientific development and refining of the Lancet
Countdown's indicators. She has trained as a Biochemist at the University of
Buenos Aires, Argentina, and holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the
University of Cambridge. Her research has focused on environmental exposures
and epigenetic alterations. Earlier, Dr Romanello worked as a Postdoctoral
Research Fellow at the Francis Crick
Institute in London, studying the
drivers of cancer onset.
