Dr Shaheen Ashraf Shah is leading gender, protection, and disability portfolios at the United Nations World Food Programme (UNFPA) across Pakistan. Earlier, Dr Shah served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Western, Australia and Loughborough University, UK. Her research and publication interests include rural development, women and gender rights, GBV, equity and inclusion issues and women’s economic empowerment. She has a PhD in Women and Gender Studies (Warwick, UK), MSc in Public Policy (Strathclyde, UK) and several other credentials in gender and development.
