Dr Ayesha Khan serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Akhter Hameed Khan Foundation. At present, she is also leading the AHK-F’s Urban Impact Lab in Rawalpindi that demonstrates women-centred economic-health interventions and impacts on the community. Her research endeavours to untangle the intricate relationship between  gender equality, women’s enterprise, social-financial-digital inclusion and health in Pakistan. Earlier, she worked in the public sector (Ministry of Health in the Health Policy Unit), and with various donors and UN agencies as the reproductive health and gender consultant on national gender equity programmes and policies.
