Dr Kate Vyborny serves as an Economist at the World Bank’s South Asia Region Gender Innovation Lab. Earning her D.Phil. in Economics from the University of Oxford, she has a rich history of engagement in academia and policy work. Before her tenure at the World Bank, Dr Vyborny was an Associate Director at the DevLab at Duke and a Research Scientist in Duke University’s Department of Economics. Her professional journey includes significant contributions to foreign aid, trade, and development research, with affiliations at the Center for Global Development and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. She has also imparted knowledge as a visiting faculty at the Lahore School of Economics and Lahore University of Management Sciences and holds fellowships with the Center for Economic Research and the Consortium for Development Policy Research in Pakistan.
