Dr Robert Marten is the Strategy and Partnership Officer (Unit Head) at the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research (AHPSR). Dr Marten’s work focuses on health systems and primary healthcare. He is also working on how health policy and systems research can be applied to help manage and control non-communicable diseases and the climate crisis. Dr Marten holds a doctoral degree from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Before joining the Alliance, he worked in the WHO India Country Office and was previously the Health Systems Coordinator for WHO in Sierra Leone.
