Dr Shafqat Munir Ahmad is currently the Deputy Executive Director (Policy) and Head of the Sustainability and Resilience Programme at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute. He boasts a broad range of specialties including Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), human rights, peacebuilding, Disaster Risk Reduction, climate change, urban risks, and sustainable development. His expertise extends to research, grants, and project management, encompassing project development, implementation, and monitoring & evaluation in diverse fields such as education, health, human rights (with a focus on minority and marginalised groups), Countering Violent Extremism (CVE), and rights in crisis situations. Dr Ahmad is also skilled in resilient development, including Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation, as well as strategic propositions, policy development, power analysis, policy outreach, lobbying, media, campaigning, and advocacy.
