Dr Shehla Zaidi

Dr Shehla Zaidi is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at Aga Khan University, Pakistan. She also holds a joint faculty appointment at Aga Khan University International in the UK. Her work interfaces research, teaching and policy advisory support. Dr Zaidi’s research includes health policy analysis, private sector engagement for essential healthcare delivery and health systems governance. She teaches the graduate courses on Policy Analysis & Formulation and Health Sector Reform and has served as a Regional Trainer with WHO-EMRO for leadership capacity building of ministries of health. Dr Zaidi is a member of the Global Technical Working Group of Policy Drivers Countdown 2030, Research Advisory Committee of WHO-EMRO and Private Sector Engagement for UHC2030 Consultation Group at WHO-EMRO. She provided policy advisory support for Pakistan’s National Health Vision, post devolution sub-national strategy and Public Private Partnership Strengthening Action Plan for UHC 2030.
