Dr Syed Hussain Shaheed Soherwordi is an Associate Professor at the University of Peshawar in Pakistan, with an extensive background in researching and teaching International Relations, Conflict Resolution, Political Science, and Creative Leadership. For the past five years, Dr Soherwordi has also been teaching at the Fulbright Commission in Bulgaria, focusing on peace and conflict resolution in the 21st Century, particularly in conflict zones like the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the Middle East. He has authored over 34 research papers on a range of topics including India, Pakistan, the tribal areas of Pakistan, the War on Terror, Afghanistan, Pak-US relations, conflict resolution, and strategies for preventing terrorism and enhancing counterterrorism measures. He earned his MPhil and PhD from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and is a Distinguished Fellow of Fulbright, Carnegie, Charles Wallace, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, and the University of Edinburgh.
