Mr Khalid Mahmood

Mr Khalid Mahmood, a committed labour activist, organiser, and trainer, currently serves as the Director of the Labour Education Foundation (LEF). Since 1996, he has been dedicated to fostering a democratic labour movement in Pakistan through his work with LEF.
In his role, Mr Mahmood collaborates with trade unions, factory workers, informal sector workers’ groups, labour and women’s rights organisations, child rights advocates, gender equality activists, and various national, regional, and global networks. His work focuses on amplifying the voices and struggles of workers, integrating them into collective actions at national, regional, and international levels. His aim is to address inequality and drive long-term positive change in the lives of workers. He is also an Executive Member of the International Federation of Workers’ Education Associations (IFWEA) Executive Committee.
