Mr Shakeb Elahi, Country Team Lead- Pakistan at the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC), is a Geology graduate turned entrepreneur. 40 years in business across Pakistan and UAE with achievements including introduction of blister packaging of pharmaceuticals, first sale of soybeans to and first export of wheat from Pakistan. He played an active role in accelerating the imports of soybeans and co-products from the US under Section 416. Experienced in sales, trade and shipping of oilseeds, milling wheat, feed corn, fertilizers and sugar, ethanol and gasoline, as well as trade finance. In his current role at USSEC, he builds relationships with soybean crushers and end users in the country, by differentiating, elevating, and building a preference for U.S. soybeans in Pakistan.
