Ms Farah Rashid is the Sustainability Lead at Engro Foundation, where she has been instrumental in developing sustainability strategies including carbon neutrality and plastic circularity measures since 2021. Her career in sustainability and environmental management began in 2011, co-leading the World Bank-funded ‘Punjab Cities Governance Improvement Project’ at The Urban Unit. In 2013, she joined WWF and led the Green Office initiative, advising businesses on resource efficiency and carbon footprint reduction. In 2019, she played a key role in facilitating provincial consultative sessions for the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). Her contributions to the field also include conducting baseline studies on plastic recycling in major cities and piloting a successful plastic recovery system involving consumers. Ms Rashid holds an MPhil in Environmental Sciences from Kinnaird College, Pakistan and Masters in Sustainable Cities from Denmark.
