Ms Uzma Nomani

She has 18 years of experience in strategy development, project management, and evaluations working with leading organisations, including the United Nations Development Programme, New York, USA.  She engages in public policy discourse developing programmes aimed at fostering local economy within the perspective of climate change. Ms Nomani has spearheaded the integration of the zero-carbon approach into PPAF’s interventions and is a fervent proponent of nature-based human development to address the climate and nature crises.

She has formulated PPAF’s Disaster Management Strategy as framework for action and also designed the organisation’s FATA Strategy and Investment Programme: FATA Vision 2020. She is co-author of the study “Corporate Social Responsibility and Natural Disaster Reduction in Pakistan” conducted by University College London  and Sustainable Development Policy Institute.

She holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Hawaii, USA.
