Prof. Muhammad Irfan Khan is Dean of the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences at the International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan where he also founded departments of Bioinformatics, Biotechnology and Environmental Science. He has over 33 years of academic experience at graduate and undergraduate level in local, national and international universities imparting education through formal, non-formal and open distance learning systems. There are more than 50 research articles to his credit in international journals and he authored five books. Ten PhD and fifty-three MS research scholars completed their theses under his supervision. Concurrent with academics, he has been engaged by industry, development sector, government organization, international organizations in the country and abroad for providing technical advisory services, consultancies, and trainings.
